Emergency Board Up Services
After a break-in, storm, vehicle impact, or fire, we board up homes and businesses fast, closing off open windows, doors, and wall breaches with 1/2-inch or 5/8-inch CDX plywood and 2x4 strongbacks. Our trucks carry plywood, a circular saw, and a cordless impact driver, so most openings are covered on the first visit. Before we leave, we sweep up broken glass and loose debris around each opening.
Window and Door Board Up
For broken windows and kicked-in doors, we cut plywood to fit the opening and fasten it with exterior screws or carriage bolts run through 2x4 crossbars on the inside. If you still need to use a door, we can mount a plywood panel with a hasp and padlock so you keep access to the building.
Fire Damage Board Up
We secure fire-damaged buildings by covering burned-out windows, doors, and wall openings with CDX plywood and 2x4 strongbacks. Where the original trim and studs are charred, we bolt through to sound framing.
Emergency Roof Tarping
We stretch heavy-duty poly tarps over the damaged area and past the ridge, then screw 2x4 battens through to the roof deck so wind can't get under the edges.
Board Up Removal
Once permanent repairs are ready, we take down the plywood and strongbacks with a cordless impact driver and pry bar, pull the fasteners, and haul the panels away.
How Much Does Emergency Board Up Cost?
After a break-in or storm, emergency board up usually costs $285 to $2,450 for a single visit. The final price comes down to how many windows and doors need CDX plywood, whether second-story openings call for a ladder or lift, and any after-hours call-out fee.
